Worried about her missing daughter Fanny, Munich civil servant Lisbeth travels to Italy in a hurry. She is relieved to discover that the young student is safe and sound but, to her mother’s horror, is about to marry the law student Luca, whom Fanny has only known for six weeks. The divorced Lisbeth is extremely skeptical, and Luca’s wealthy mother Carla is also ringing alarm bells. Both women want to use their motherly power to prevent their children’s flash wedding.
